NUDE MALE PUZZLE - Excellent Shirt Hanger

('lick' to enlarge)

These puzzles will normally take you less than 5 minutes to complete.  This one took me 2:56.   Puzzles labeled difficult in the headline will probably take a bit longer.  To start the puzzle, scroll down and move your cursor over the "Loading the puzzle..." box.  The puzzle will then fill itself in.

NOTE: Although I test every puzzle, sometimes pieces do freeze or simply just don't appear.  It has been suggested that if you are having difficulty finding missing pieces try to zoom in or out in your browser (pressing "ctrl" and "+" or "-" does this in most browsers).  Most of the time the missing pieces are hiding at the bottom of the puzzle area - and will become visible after you've zoomed.  Sorry, these are server issues and beyond my control.

Here's a stopwatch if you'd like to time yourself.

The Stonewall Riots - A Comic Book?

I was taken aback when I first heard about a comic book chronicling this seminal event in LGBT civil rights movement.  I felt it trivialized the event.  How dare anyone do this to such an important subject?

Then I realized that there are probably millions of people, young and old, who only read comics.  It may be their only source of world knowledge.  They simply are not going to pick up a conventional book and read anything.  So the comic book is really a very valid way of reaching people who should know about what went on in New York City 44 years ago.

Here's a quote from Indiegogo commenting on why the comic book format:
It’s a unique medium.  It blends words and art like no other.  It can give a human face to history.  As with other non-fiction and biography books, it presents the context of an important historic event in an impactful and artistic way.  For others it creates a gateway for the reluctant reader. For others still it is a bridge to the next generation of young gay men and women to understand the struggles of the past and appreciate just how far we’ve come….and how fabulous we all are!

The book is from Bluewater Productions, one of the top publishers of independent comic books and graphic novels.  They are in the process of raising the funds to actually bring this monumental comic book to life.  To do this Bluewater has initiated an indiegogo campaign to raise funds for the book's printing and marketing.  For more information regarding the campaign, the comic book itself, and how you can contribute please visit Indiegogo using this link.

In the meantime here's a preview of the book:

The Last Ship - Coming To TNT In 2014!

The Last Ship's Eric Dane
The U.S. cable network TNT has given the go ahead for a 10 episode series, loosely based on William Brinkley's popular 1988 novel The Last Ship, and it's scheduled for airing during their 2014 season.  Unlike the book's global nuclear war, the series  deals with a catastrophic pandemic that almost wipes out the world's population.  A U.S. Navy destroyer U.S.S. Nathan James avoids the pandemic and the story centers on its crew and its captain who must cope with how to remain alive.

It's an interesting premise, but I have the feeling that after watching the all-revealing trailer, you won't need to watch the series.  Just saying...

Scott Thompson - "Hannibal" Actor on Being Gay

Scott Thompson is most known for his characters on the Canadian sketch comedy hit Kids in the Hall.  He is now appearing as a forensic investigator in NBC's new dramatic series Hannibal.  As a side note, the show is filmed in Toronto, so it's got to be good.

Scott has given a very interesting interview to William Van Meter at New York Magazine's The Vulture and comments among other things on why gays these days are rather boring.  It's a good read:
